How would you describe your clothing style? Recently my friend Chelsea, floral designer + prop stylist extraordinnaire, asked me about my style as part of a Babble feature on stylish moms. Although I don't often think about my style when shopping, I know I am the type that likes what she likes. I am definitely not controlled by the latest trends (I like the idea of studs, but know they are just not for me) and tend to stick to classic pieces that will last me for many seasons. Over the years I've had requests from readers to document my outfits the way I do for the boys but to be honest I think my style is quite simple (maybe too simple). Since moving to Korea I started taking elevator snapshots of myself and after going through them I noticed that my wardrobe consists of solids, stripes, and dots (and big tote bags). I loved reading what the other moms in the feature had to say about how their styles changed after becoming mothers and I would love to hear your thoughts. And even for those without children, how has your style changed over the years?

The simplicity of your style (along with your lovely self) is what makes it amazing! I love the outfit in the babble photo. What shoes are you wearing there?

Honestly Sally I've gone through an identity crisis since I've left my corporate design job to working at home. I'm trying to "find myself" these days as I work with underprivileged women yet still balancing a tone of "style" in a foreign country like India yet being in the states part time as well. So right now I've settled for the term preppy rock (I gravitate towards Rag and Bone /Scotch & Soda sort of feel when I can afford it. Simple in my opinion is the best but sometimes I like feeling a little fancy. :)
