[BUSAN] MORNING RUN

PHOTOGRAPHS BY SALLY J SHIM

One of my favorite things about living in Busan is the amazing view we have from our home on Haeundae Beach. There is something so soothing about hearing the waves crash all day long. The beautiful scenery has also helped motivate me to focus on myself, physically and mentally. As I go on my morning run along Haeundae Beach and Dongbaek Island I am able to clear my head and get myself ready to start the day. I am also motivated by the people in this area who are serious about staying fit and healthy. On any given day you will see a constant flow of people cycling, running, walking and hiking. And although I feel less "productive" in many ways since moving to Busan I am happy to be making my goal of taking care of myself a priority.

Those views are just stunning. I can imagine it must be so calming and refreshing to run through.

Love the photos - esp. the beach ball balloons (?) and the tents. I visited Busan for the first time earlier this month, what a beautiful city! Actually took a stroll through the park in the two right photos!

Hi Sally!
So nice to see photos of your beautiful new hometown. I'm jealous of your running route! What a great way to start the day. Hope you all are settling in and enjoying life in Korea. I miss chatting with you, and your creativity and energy are hugely missed at BSE as well! Take care and I look forward to seeing more of your blog posts.
