After having a food fest while visiting Portland last month (hello, burgers, fries, and pies!), I've been trying to eat a bit more healthy. I love a good salad for lunch, although I admit I always need an afternoon snack because the salad doesn't quite fill me up. In general I find that produce is more expensive here in Korea than in the States, especially when it comes to fruit and speciality produce like avocados. If you've been following me on Instagram*, then you know I've been eating an avocado every day this week. I love slicing or mashing them up with some coarse salt, freshly cracked black pepper, and a squeeze of lemon juice, top it on a crunch baguette or toasted bread and I am in heaven. I've run out of avocados, so picking up a new bag is on top of my list for this weekend.

Sally, your photos look so appetizing! I live in Florida and my mother-in-law has an avocado tree that I live for each year! We're currently trying to grow our own tree from a seed that I nurtured for three years in a pot until we finally we able to plant in the ground at our current home. Fingers crossed it will produce a few more years down the road. And I will definitely try adding you on Instagram because your photos are gorgeous! I'm "threebysea"

Ha! I just checked & I'm already following you! I knew I had seen your sunrise Instagrams in the past, but your avocado photos didn't look familiar...guess I just hadn't spent much time on there this week! ;)

yum and love your IG feed!! :)
