THE TWELVE DAYS OF HOLIDAY PACKAGES NO.6

We are now halfway through The Twelve Days of Holiday Packages and I hope you are finding some holiday packaging inspiration. Many of my ideas for designs come from looking around my environment and the same is true for my packaging ideas. Package No.6 was inspired by this cute little street sign in my neighborhood. Although the street sign has two signs that are horizontal on a pole, I thought having two tags hinged with a paper brad would be a fun twist.

Kraft, black, and white are always a classic color combination and I used a bright red paper brad to add a pop of color. If you want even more color try pairing the gift tags with bright gift wrap or adding a bright ribbon for a pretty pop of color.

MATERIALS

1. Kraft box

2. Studio Carta Tight Weave Cotton Ribbon in Black

3. The Twelve Days of Holiday Packages No. 6 / Be Merry & Be Bright Gift Tags Printable

4. 8.5"x11" piece of white cardstock

5. Printer

6. Scissors

7. 1/8" hole punch

8. Color brad

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Download The Twelve Days of Holiday Packages No.6 / Be Merry & Be Bright Gift Tags Printable here.

2. Print the gift tags onto an 8.5"x11" piece of white cardstock.

3. Use scissors and cut out the gift tags.

4. Use 1/8" hole punch and punch a hole towards the end of the gift tags.

5. Wrap ribbon around the box and add 5" to the length. Cut the ribbon.

6. Put the brad tip through the holes and pierce it through the middle of the ribbon, pull tabs of the brad down.

7. Wrap the ribbon with attached gift tags around the box and secure with a flat knot on the bottom of the box.

TIPS

1. Print the gift tag printable onto white sticker paper and make gift labels.

2. Replace the brad with some twine, string it through the holes, and tie it in a bow.

3. Skip the ribbon and instead punch a hole in the lid of the box and put the brad through the holes of the gift tags and box lid.
