PINNING INSPIRATION ON PINTEREST

I've mentioned before how I think Pinterest is a great tool for organizing inspiration on the internet. And lately I've been on a pinning craze. Instead of having a million bookmarks on my computer I have been cataloging fun diy projects, yummy recipes, style inspiration, and party ideas on different boards. I'll be sharing some Valentine's Day projects over the next few weeks, but in the meantime you might want to check out my Be Mine Pinterest Board, which has over 200 pins. You can follow me on Pinterest over here.

ALLRECIPES MAGAZINE FEB/MAR 2014

Although it is always fun to see a project you designed on a blog or website, it is really exciting to see it in print. My Valentine's Day Cupcake Topper is featured in the February/March 2014 issue of Allrecipes Magazine along with some cute Valentine's Day goodness. I often use Allrecipes.com to find recipes so it is an honor to be included in their magazine. Check out the issue at your local newstand if you get a chance! You can also make your own Valentine's Day Cupcake Topper using the free printable and instructions here.

VALENTINE'S DAY PRINTABLES

Are you getting excited for Valentine's Day? I'll be sharing some new Valentine's Day projects and printables next week and in the meantime I thought I would review some of the printables I designed in previous years. For the packages above I used my Valentine's Day Heart Gift Wrap printable and Valentine's Day Cupcake Topper printable.

This Tic Tac Toe Valentine printable is one of the most popular printables on this site. The original design was created back in 2011 for the boys' classmates and last year I re-designed it and offered it as a free printable

These valentines were made using the Valentine's Day Handmade Cards printables (four different designs). You can add sweet treats, trinkets, drawings, or photographs to the cards.

PERSONALIZED FELT HEART MUSLIN BAG DIY FOR OH HAPPY DAY

There are certain holidays I was not a big fan of until I became a mother (Halloween, I'm talking to you!). Valentine's Day was one of those holidays that didn't stand out to me as being particularly special. But once I had my first son I became a fan of making handmade Valentine's Day decorations and valentines for friends and family.

Valentine's Day always creeps up so quickly after the holidays so this year I decided to get a head start on making handmade valentines for friends and family. I'll be sharing several ideas in the coming weeks for handmade Valentine's Day goodies. First up is a Personalized Felt Heart Bag DIY I designed for Oh Happy Day. I love anything personalized and these bags are super easy to make.

HAPPY 2014 NEW YEAR CARDS PRINTABLE

Happy New Year! I hope you feel rested from the holidays and excited for 2014! This Christmas was one of the first years we haven't been moving in/out of the States or into/out of a new home or traveling, so it felt very nice to spend the holidays at home in Busan. In the midst of all the goal-setting that is going on all over the world, I have a confession to make, I have not sent out holiday cards in several years (gasp!). In 2011 I used our week-before-Christmas international move as my excuse and the year after, well, uh, I had no good excuse. If it were not for the ease of sending photographs via email and social media I am pretty sure most of our friends would not even know what the boys look like right now.

I'm not sure what the proper etiquette is regarding the timeline for sending out New Year cards, but I decided sending them out anytime in January is OK in my book. And just in case you also feel the same way and would like to send a special New Year greeting to a friend, I'm offering a free Happy 2014 New Year Cards Printable in three different designs. You can print them on white cardstock and mount them on a colored cardstock like I did or you can print them directly onto a colored cardstock, whatever you fancy!
