I CAN ALWAYS COUNT ON YOU VALENTINE PRINTABLES

One of my boys' favorite toys growing up was a toy cash register full of toy money. Although they don't use the toy cash register as much as before, they still use the play money. Play money is not only fun for kids to play with it but it also helps them learn how to count, add, and subtract money. So as another non-candy valentine alternative (see other non-candy alternatives here and here and here) I thought it would be fun to design "I Can Count On You" Valentine printables and attach a set of play money.

You can purchase play money online or at your local educational supply store. If you cannot locate play money try packaging a set of number magnets or number cards.

VALENTINE BUNNY PRINTABLES

Valentine's Day is right around the corner and this week I will be sharing some simple and fun Valentine's Day projects. First up, Valentine Bunny cards! I designed two versions of the Valentine Bunny cards, a "Be Mine" balloon and another one where you can insert a real balloon.

The Valentine Bunny Be Mine card only requires white cardstock and a printer. The Valentine Bunny Balloon card requires a few more supplies, but is very easy to make.

ALLRECIPES MAGAZINE FEB/MAR 2014

Although it is always fun to see a project you designed on a blog or website, it is really exciting to see it in print. My Valentine's Day Cupcake Topper is featured in the February/March 2014 issue of Allrecipes Magazine along with some cute Valentine's Day goodness. I often use Allrecipes.com to find recipes so it is an honor to be included in their magazine. Check out the issue at your local newstand if you get a chance! You can also make your own Valentine's Day Cupcake Topper using the free printable and instructions here.

VALENTINE'S DAY PRINTABLES

Are you getting excited for Valentine's Day? I'll be sharing some new Valentine's Day projects and printables next week and in the meantime I thought I would review some of the printables I designed in previous years. For the packages above I used my Valentine's Day Heart Gift Wrap printable and Valentine's Day Cupcake Topper printable.

This Tic Tac Toe Valentine printable is one of the most popular printables on this site. The original design was created back in 2011 for the boys' classmates and last year I re-designed it and offered it as a free printable

These valentines were made using the Valentine's Day Handmade Cards printables (four different designs). You can add sweet treats, trinkets, drawings, or photographs to the cards.

PERSONALIZED FELT HEART MUSLIN BAG DIY FOR OH HAPPY DAY

There are certain holidays I was not a big fan of until I became a mother (Halloween, I'm talking to you!). Valentine's Day was one of those holidays that didn't stand out to me as being particularly special. But once I had my first son I became a fan of making handmade Valentine's Day decorations and valentines for friends and family.

Valentine's Day always creeps up so quickly after the holidays so this year I decided to get a head start on making handmade valentines for friends and family. I'll be sharing several ideas in the coming weeks for handmade Valentine's Day goodies. First up is a Personalized Felt Heart Bag DIY I designed for Oh Happy Day. I love anything personalized and these bags are super easy to make.

You can read about how to make a Personalized Felt Heart Muslin Bag right here.

PHOTOGRAPH BY SALLY J SHIM

Valentine's Day is right around the corner and I still have a few more diy projects (and free printables) to share with you. Here is a sweet and simple Valentine's Day banner that you can hang up in your home. I designed them to be printed on 4.25" x 5.5" sheets of cardstock, but there are a few options as far as how to make the Valentine's Day banner.
