[MAKE] FREEZER PAPER STENCIL DRAWSTRING BAG + T-SHIRT

PHOTOGRAPHS BY SALLY J SHIM

I am one of those people who will listen to the same playlist on my iPhone over and over again even when my husband is begging me to add more songs so he doesn't have to listen to the same songs over and over again. I am also one of those people who will order the same thing at a restaurant for years until I get sick of it (ok, sometimes I don't get sick of it). So it should come as no surprise that I am sharing another freezer paper stencil project (and I'm 99% sure it won't be the last one either).

J's classmate, one of the sweetest girls I know, moved back to Norway recently and I wanted to make her a little farewell gift. The end of the school year was filled with field trips and activities so I ended up whipping up a last minute freezer paper stencil drawstring bag and t-shirt. You can find my freezer paper stencil tutorial here. For this gift I sewed a simple grey chambray drawstring bag and added neon pink masonry twine for the ties. After personalizing the drawstring bag and t-shirt I placed the t-shirt inside the bag along with a sweet Tokketok card. J's classmate loved her gift and seeing the smile on her face made me so happy! (She even gave me a cute bottle of glittery heart nail polish and a sweet card thanking me for helping her learn her math facts this year.)
