[WEAR] STRIPEY SWIM SHORTS

{Sweet William}

My friend Elly introduced me to Sweet William, a children's clothing store in Williamsburg Brooklyn. I've already mentioned my love of boys swim shorts and these graphic + striped numbers by Kids Case and Mini Rodini are too cute! And in case you are wondering they make matching swimsuits for little girls.

[EAT] 479° POPCORN

{479° Popcorn}

Did you know that 479 degrees Fahrenheit is the optimal temperature for popping corn? According to Jean Arnold, the Founder of 479° Popcorn, it is. I first heard about this organic gourmet popcorn company over at Gilt Taste and then a blog reader recently mentioned it again. I just found out that a local food coop carries it so I'm going to give it a taste test. The Alderwood Smoked Sea Salt and Vietnamese Cinnamon Sugar sound really tasty. If you've tried it before let me know what your favorite flavor is!

[FAMILY] GELATO + PARK DATE

{Photograph by Sally J Shim}

Last week I surprised the boys after school with a little gelato + park date. The weather was perfect and after a long week it was nice to unwind and relax with the boys. We sat and enjoyed our gelato and then walked to the park where the boys ran wild. It always seems like the last few months of school are so busy and it is easy to get caught up with all the activities and deadlines. But I've been trying to remind myself to take some time out and just enjoy the simple things in life.

[WEAR] FRESHLY PICKED MOCCASINS

{Freshly Picked

I'm all for cute + comfortable baby shoes and these Freshly Picked moccasins fit the bill. New mums, don't even bother with the lace up shoes, slip on shoes are the way to go! They come in an array of colors but I am in love with these metallic leather moccasins with neon stitching!

[WEAR] ZARA KIDS SWIMSUITS

{Zara}

I love simple + stripey swimsuits. My boys started wearing swim shorts when we lived in Korea and they love them because they are more comfortable then swim trunks [which get a bit heavy when wet]. I picked up the blue striped swim shorts at Zara in Korea. I also love the sweet + simple one piece little girls swimsuits.

[EAT] FIFTY LICKS

{Fifty Licks}

There are so many yummy ice cream shops in Portland. We also have a growing selection of ice cream carts + trucks. Fifty Licks sells their sweet little cartons of ice cream at restaurants and markets around the city as well as out of their mobile truck. My favorite is the Coconut Lemon Saffron Sorbet.
