PERSONALIZED FELT HEART MUSLIN BAG DIY FOR OH HAPPY DAY

There are certain holidays I was not a big fan of until I became a mother (Halloween, I'm talking to you!). Valentine's Day was one of those holidays that didn't stand out to me as being particularly special. But once I had my first son I became a fan of making handmade Valentine's Day decorations and valentines for friends and family.

Valentine's Day always creeps up so quickly after the holidays so this year I decided to get a head start on making handmade valentines for friends and family. I'll be sharing several ideas in the coming weeks for handmade Valentine's Day goodies. First up is a Personalized Felt Heart Bag DIY I designed for Oh Happy Day. I love anything personalized and these bags are super easy to make.

POLKA DOT LOLLIPOP COVER DIY FOR OH HAPPY DAY

Lollipops are the perfect sweet treat to give to your party guests. I created a fun Polka Dot Lollipop Cover DIY for Oh Happy Day that will turn ordinary lollipops in to cute party favors.

Or you can pop them inside a polka dot cup and use them as placecards for your next party.

HAPPY 2014 NEW YEAR CARDS PRINTABLE

Happy New Year! I hope you feel rested from the holidays and excited for 2014! This Christmas was one of the first years we haven't been moving in/out of the States or into/out of a new home or traveling, so it felt very nice to spend the holidays at home in Busan. In the midst of all the goal-setting that is going on all over the world, I have a confession to make, I have not sent out holiday cards in several years (gasp!). In 2011 I used our week-before-Christmas international move as my excuse and the year after, well, uh, I had no good excuse. If it were not for the ease of sending photographs via email and social media I am pretty sure most of our friends would not even know what the boys look like right now.

I'm not sure what the proper etiquette is regarding the timeline for sending out New Year cards, but I decided sending them out anytime in January is OK in my book. And just in case you also feel the same way and would like to send a special New Year greeting to a friend, I'm offering a free Happy 2014 New Year Cards Printable in three different designs. You can print them on white cardstock and mount them on a colored cardstock like I did or you can print them directly onto a colored cardstock, whatever you fancy!

THE TWELVE DAYS OF HOLIDAY PACKAGES / REVIEW

I had so much fun creating packages for The Twelve Days of Holiday Packages (see all the packaging projects here). There are many packages that did not make the final featured twelve packages, but I'm looking forward to sharing them with you through my WRAP series. My design aesthetic is quite minimalistic in nature, so if you like a little more glitz and glam I think these packaging projects provide a nice base for more dressed up packages. I also wanted to feature projects that could be created not only for the holidays, but year-round. Take away the holiday gift tags, gift bands, and gift labels, and you can easily use any of these ideas for birthday gifts, party/wedding favors, or part of the branding for your business.

Thank you to everyone who tweeted, pinned, and posted about The Twelve Days of Holiday Packages

Happy Packaging!
