Looks like J.Crew is having a little love affair with Russia. I adore these photographs of Russian ballet dancers wearing J.Crew cashmere sweaters. And the Crewcuts Study Abroad in Saint Petersburg, Russia is breathtaking. The cathedrals make for the prettiest backdrops. If only the boys could really go on these types of field trips I would be the first to sign up to be a chaperone!

{Ciel Architectes}     {via Bloesem Kids}

I just created an inspiration board on @Pinterest of children's room interiors. I've been adding to it daily as I get ready to start redecorating the boys' playroom and bedroom this fall. Yes, I was planning to tackle it this summer but decided playdates and little adventures with my boys was more important. I really love the clean and modern spaces that Ciel Architectes have created for their clients. They definitely demonstrate that having proper storage and place for all the "stuff" that children seem to accumulate all too quickly is key to maintaining a well kept room. I've been surfing the web to find well-designed children's spaces and I found some at Remodelista and Dwell. What are your favorite sources of inspiration for children's room interiors?

Three posts about ice cream in one week? Sure why not it's summer after all! Last month after our delicious meal at FARMSHOP in LA the boys and I headed over to Sweet Rose Creamery [which is also located in the Brentwood Country Mart]. It is a sweet little shop that prides itself in making small batches of homemade ice cream. The boys had the Fresh Mint with Home Made Chocolate Chip and Salted Caramel cones. The flavors are intense and you can really taste all of the natural ingredients. Next time we're going to try the ice cream pies!

{Living in Store}

These entertaining buckets by Sophie Conran are so clever. The Drink Bucket is a homemade lemonade and cordial kit and contains a recipe book, muslin square for straining, funnel, glass bottles, drinking straws and ice bucket. The Eat Bucket contains a portable BBQ, charcoal, matches, tongs and recipe booklet. Both buckets would come in handy if you like to entertain or they would also make fantastic hostess gifts.

{Clare Vivier}

Clare Vivier is a line of classic and beautifully constructed handbags. Their entire collection is manufactured in Los Angeles and I've heard their handbags just get better over time. I've been dreaming about owning a La Tropézienne tote for several years and I am in love with the new navy version. I also love the foldover clutches, the neon zippers are the perfect touch.

P.S. Vanessa just told me that Pretty Mommy is having a sale and they carry Clare Vivier!
